Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
Due to the recent Coronavirus pandemic crisis, we have been called to be obedient to the regulations by the government and the Methodist denomination to suspend all church activities, including Sunday worship, and close the church office. Only staff will have access to the building.
We do not know for how long this might have to be our new norm, but I believe that the body of believers that make up this church, are flexible, patient, and desire to be obedient to God’s call to trust in Him, in all our ways! Even though all activity has been suspended here at Union Hill, I believe we can and will be creative to continue doing the ministry that God has called us to do in our community, state, nation and world!!
We want all of you to know that if you have a specific prayer request or are in need of assistance in any way, you can still call the church office at any time and leave a message on the answering machine. It will be checked periodically. You can call me at the parsonage if you need to: 330-852-6078.
Also, this is a good time to remind each of us that we are indeed part of God’s family here at Union Hill, and that we must be more concerned for our sisters and brothers than for ourselves, according to God’s Word. So please be sure to frequently call and check in on those that the Spirit lays on your heart. That’s what family is supposed to do! Amen??
The reality also is that despite the fact that worship has been suspended for a time, the on-going cost of operating the church, has not been suspended. The weekly bills continue to arrive. We need your continued help, by your generous tithing and gifts. We are establishing a drop-off time of your tithe and offerings each Wednesday from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at the front church car port. It will be a drive thru. Someone will be attending the drop-off zone for security assurance.
I believe that the God we worship and serve is much, much bigger than any Coronavirus, or suspension of worship!! He is a good, good Father for all His children, and He will meet all of our needs. Remain faithful!! Thank you for your co-operation at this time, and may God bless you and keep you in this challenging time.
In His Grip,
